@base logo simplification study. How simple can it be to still be recognisable?

There is this trend of pixelated icons bothers me a lot. In this case, it’s fine because it’s a logo, but when you start adding this kind of icon or graphics into a design, the cognitive load skyrockets (imho)

I don't necessarily agree, but i get what you're saying. I LOVE pixel aesthetics but it has to be used at the right time and in the right place, not just everywhere everytime :)

Our original logo was a pixelated ‘d’. It was fun to use for the first couple of years but as our brand evolved it really started to stick out in every design in a bad way.
