The theme of loneliness has always been deeply present in my psyche. I seem to have an acute awareness of its presence in my own life and in the lives of those I encounter. I’m drawn to understanding what it feels like to face this in later years, when the years behind stretch longer than those ahead. What regrets do people hold? What would they have done differently if they could turn back time? How do they cope with moments of loneliness?
