Learning is a lot like breathing. There are inhalations - you consume, expand, take in. Then there are exhalations - you clear out, reduce, empty. It’s interesting to ask ourselves from time to time what our breathing has been looking like: Have I only been trying to consume mountains of new ideas and facts? Have I only been looking for that one single principle that explains it all? Rhythm is everything.

It’s so easy to get lost in inhaling new ideas and forget to pause and process. But how do you make sure you're exhaling enough after taking in so much new information?
