today's quick cheap lunch was brought to me by a couple of last night's hangaku (half off) end of day specials, yakisoba noodles and a chicken, vegetable, & konnyaku mix on the side is this amazing oboro dofu with raw egg, green onions, and a dash of shoyu and ponzi sauce ( it's called melting tofu, so soft it feels like it melts in your mouth)

It is very helpful to the family budget to pay half price just a little later in the day! I am jealous because the supermarket near me only gives me 30% even if I wait!😂

we are lucky one of the markets nearby, about a 20 minute walk, has a large selection and is a little off the beaten path its far enough from the beach and train stops that the prices are lower than the other nearby markets
