I'm not very knowledgeable about Hypersub I never heard anything that felt compelling enough to give it a shot as an artist when many of my peers jumped on the bandwagon, although that was largely because I doubted that anyone would subscribe to an artist who struggles to sell his art The underlying streaming token mechanics of AlfaFrens were interesting enough for me to give it a shot, and I was surprised to see people subscribe (and to still have 50+ subscribers despite the huge churn the platform has seen since the initial flash of interest died down) I currently have one of the more popular channels on AF but it's far from profitable Would love to know if anyone has deep enough knowledge of both platforms to give a solid breakdown of the differentiating features, relative strengths/weaknesses, and what an artist or other creator should consider when choosing which to use, if either

Hello @yonfrula @0xen @ccarella.eth, if you have a moment, I would love to hear your thoughts about how Hypersub and AlfaFrens compare, and even if they can properly complement one another It's difficult as an artist with limited bandwidth to know what the best approaches are, as well as what to recommend to peers Thanks in advance!

I don't really know what AlfaFrens is but there are warpcast channels using Hypersubs in interesting ways from moderating who has post access (subs) to splitting revenue of the hypersub with members who post in the channel using @rounds. I just use mine as a solo artists where you sign up to get curated airdrops of my favorite creations.

Thanks for the quick and thoughtful response! So, perhaps the @alfafrens team can add a word or two, if they see this tag, but quickly, the @superfluid team built AF as a creator subscription platform to showcase their streaming token technology The streaming token lets subscribers begin paying second by second for their subscriptions with no bonding curve or up-front full cost, etc - it also lets ppl unsubscribe as soon as they stop feeling that they're getting good value from a channel Another key feature is the ability to earn an in-app token called $ALFA on channels to receive a share of the $DEGEN generated from subscriptions to that channel, as a way of both supporting the creator and profiting from their success (1/2) https://warpcast.com/eirrann.eth/0x257f5124

The main feature of the channel is a subscriber gated chat. There are no build in airdrop features, although I use my channel similar to yours, providing airdrops of my artwork, which I am currently curating from the faves of my experiments for my upcoming collection (you can see the latest example in the QC) I've also recently started integrating Moxie Fan Tokens, hoping to provide as many avenues as possible for people to gain access to my art, and to give myself exposure to multiple potential revenue streams as an artist, while trying to ensure that I'm using the various platforms in a coherent fashion Who knows, maybe in the future I'll add a Hypersub as well, if I can figure out a differentiated use case for it Thanks again!
