went camping with a bunch of dads this summer and decided i want kids

30 years of being staunchly opposed, and it more or less vanished after one weekend in the woods with a bunch of guys that were only there to escape the obligations they'd created for themselves and i... decided i want that

been processing it for weeks now, but i haven't talked myself out of it yet

anyone else have a change of heart about kids later in life?

I was adamantly against being a dad until after about 7 years married to my wife

She made it clear to me that she wanted us to start a family and it would break her heart if I didn't change my stance

Took me a while, but I eventually found room in my heart

Today, we have a preteen

I believe that folks who don't want kids shouldn't have them

I also know first-hand that it's possible to change your mind 

It's the best decision I've ever made, because I made it for the right reasons
