post a long, short, or pair trade thesis about something in the world (no financial assets)

mine: long water sports, short snow sports. water sports (e.g. surfing) are centuries old and allow man to access the divine trifecta of sand, sea, and sun. climate change will make snow sports less viable

short moving to usa / big cities to chase career

long staying close to your parents & family

life is too short to spend the short overlap when your parents are healthy and you are a grown up adult to spend it grinding for an O1 in san francisco

(obv doesn't apply to americans)

This arguably applies to Americans... I live 2500 miles from my parents

An underrated part of living near your parents is having a baby is 10x easier if they can help out. Fortunately my wife's parents live in town, but wish mine were closer
