Do you carry water/fuel while running? If so, do you prefer a hydration vest/backpack or a handheld bottle?

I pretty much never use water on outdoor training runs (up to 3 hours), but it never gets too hot here. If it were excessively hot and humid, I would consider it. But I don't think people need water as much as they think, as long as the effort level isn't too difficult and heat isn't too extreme

I agree on the water usage, I've found I can manage without water for about 2/3 hours. However, when it comes to fueling, I've recently begun incorporating gels into my long runs, which is a new strategy for me in this marathon training phase. I stashed a bottle with Maurten at 90mins last long run.
