What do we think about transiting through China nowadays, do you have to leave your electronics behind and just use a burner laptop and shit or is that just for journalists and people who run proper companies and so forth

There are cameras everywhere, especially in the Shanghai airport lounges. It’s crazy, their camera setup pretty much covers every corner. Just stay alert and away from the cameras before typing passwords or any sensitive information.
