To the people buying Aethir nodes right now (I got 2 myself in presale). Just keep in mind that they have 2x the node supply that XAI is offering but only offers 15% of the token supply to its node operators compared to 50% of XAI. Makes XAI look like better value at their current tiers imho.

What are the "DePIN" projects that people think are most likely to actually work? It feels like the category is a new name for something that's been around for a decade (StorJ, various decentralized ubers...) but has never gotten off the ground? So what's the bull case for why it will get off the ground now?

Greece was in a similar dire situation 10 years ago. But now is flourishing after taking the austerity pill. I agree that it is too early to say if what he is doing is a success. But I think he is taking a lot of promising steps in the right direction. The old pattern of overspending and defaulting on debt is equivalent to peeing in your pants to stay warm, problem just gets bigger and bigger.

But austerity might very likely make matters worse in the short term, if there's less money from the state. Maybe for a couple of years, until the turnaround is achieved. I'm very much interested in seeing how this turnaround is going to work out for Argentina long term.

Looks like it is not right what you're saying. No defaulting. Talks with IMF on help is very much different from defaulting on debt.
