Anyone else starting to get worried about this rise of casual open imperialism? Like, not "peaceful trade at prices social justice activists don't like" imperialism but actual "let's go conquer stuff" imperialism. I know it's "meant to be a joke", but often such jokes are a first step to normalizing something dark...

well Canadians would be victims to more gun violence so that's one way. almost certainly the end of their single-payer healthcare. significantly diluted representation in their government. those are the first three examples that come to mind. not to say it would be definitely net worse but the better question is how would it be better? and unless they are voluntarily joining the States what right does the US have to colonizing/imperializing sovereign nations?

I think they want it, At least actions have presented that... Canada has relinquished their military advancement and growth for like 20 years Mexico has been migrating north as the "border" is still young in terms of historical borders... I already thought we would have a Union moreover a state... I think we would make other territories a state first...
