This peripherality is not a permanent state but part of a trajectory toward deeper engagement and mastery. 3. Participation: Learning occurs through active engagement in the practices of the community, not through isolated or abstract instruction. By participating, learners gain access to the tools, language, and social networks of the community.

I want to say something like "a fully empowered meritocracy". A process in which everyone is incentivized to share their own credible conviction without being muted by quirky side-effects.
