gm, quick note re: tickets before the weekend! 🙂 🗽 Only 2 ways to get tickets: you apply, are accepted, and claim within 2 weeks OR you are a partner and have a *limited* number of reserved tickets to allocate to your team. Have lots of inbound asking for favors and exceptions; we have and will continue to politely decline. 🗽 We are legally held to a set capacity and cannot accommodate everyone. What we *can* do is ensure that we are never allowlisting *more* than we can accommodate, and releasing spots to those on the waitlist as soon as they become available (4 last night!) 🗽 Most importantly, this is a community-led event. Everyone working on FarCon is an unpaid volunteer. No application process is perfect, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. The volume of supportive messages we've received (including from those waitlisted) far outweighs the negative ones, and is a good reminder that community is why we're doing it all in the first place 💜

yeah my frame does use next auth and like you said I’m pretty sure it uses cookies would have to double check/find out more about what the specific parameters of the frame’s iframe tag are

Software as content As AI gets better, the specialized knowledge and effort to create software will significantly decrease. This means the number of people (and AIs) creating software will significantly increase. In the same way new computing paradigms with new capabilities popularized new atomic units of content, AI will make software a new atomic unit. And with each new atomic unit, there’s been a new social network. That’s an opportunity for Farcaster.

was thinking about this the other day — I think it’s much needed separately would be helpful if the frame sdk told us things like the user’s preferred theme so it could be used to make the frame feel even more like part of the client

fun idea for /warpcast or another client/frame to build: a feed of casts from folks who are on the warpcast rewards leaderboard when I just went to check out the rewards frame I saw the list was actually a pretty solid representation of top casters I’ve been seeing, and then when I had that thought I instantly wondered if that list would be a good filter for a cast feed

We are officially 10 weeks out 🙂 One thing I loved about last year's FarCon was how much it embraced and captured SoCal/LA vibes - an indoor/outdoor venue, steps away from one of the most iconic beaches in CA, incorporating local restaurants for lunch, color palette/branding, etc. It felt like "LA's love letter to Farcaster" ...which made me think a lot about what the New York version of FarCon LA could be. Last fall, I started crowdsourcing some ideas over dinner about what "bringing New York to Farcaster" could look like (h/t @yb @rubinovitz @dylsteck.eth @zinger). What we are planning with our partners has already far exceeded my expectations and has made me love this city and community even more -- we can't wait to share it with all of you!!! (Also part of being a New Yorker is (slightly obnoxiously) thinking New York is the center of the universe so thanks in advance for indulging us for just one weekend 🗽)
