It might not even be my favourite book, but I would probably say Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. It's just a profound reset, whenever life gets too manic. If you haven't read it, I'd heavily recommend it. And it's only about 100 pages, so you're ROI in terms of reading is as high as it gets

It's one of those books that you should read each decade, 18, 28, 38, because it speaks to so many chapters of life, and each time it speaks to you in an entirely new way

So true. The first time I read it I didn't understand "I can think, I can wait, I can fast" _at all_. Totally did not get it. And then this year that line came back to me just when I need it and saved me, like a life jacket saves a sailor after his ship capsizes.
