Warpcast

Warpcast is giving out $5 each day to the top 100 casters.  

Rewards are given based on the amount of engagement your casts get divided by the number of active followers you have. 

We'll run this experiment through the end of the year to see if it drives people to create more interesting content for Farcaster.

Why I'm excited for this experiment

1. Daily payout in USDC on @base to your existing wallet

2. Algo normalizes followers (we're going to keep adjusting it), so a much wider pool of people will be eligible

3. You don't have to use Warpcast to be eligible; cast from anywhere

so from what I understand, this will be a more "fair" approach so not only big accounts with obviously more engagement due to amount of followers be the only ones getting it, correct?

Yes, but most big accounts are big for a reason. :)

a reason yes but not necessarily for good casts? some were early, some were in the autofollow list. I don't encounter many anymore (probably unfollowed them) but I remember I used to see some big accounts that haven't made any posts in months/years.

Maybe the experiment would be more "reliable" if we didn't have big account Moxie farming going on right now. Not judging, just sayin'
