What does having an ENS do for most people?

ENS -> 0x address

Right, but that's sharing a 0x wallet is not a common thing?

Most people do payments in fiat fintech apps (or cash). @daimo working to change that.

Other than that, there are few if any other use cases for a 0x wallet right now. Maybe NFT gallery but still very small use case (<10K active collectors).

totally, and that's a larger crypto adoption/usage problem 

but within crypto/web3 social experiences an ENS is still helpful, i would like  to figure out who #8 and #10 are on our all-time running leaderboard

every other 0x on this list has either an FID associated, or an ENS

I don't understand how a user with more than a two wallets, who is doing things like sending funds/NFTs, checking portfolio on zerion/zapper, etc can live without ENS. Then again, when I grew up we still had to memorize phone numbers, so 🤷‍♂️
