I try to supplement my tips with a comment. I think it would change the dynamics here a lot if all tips were considered spam.

For some people. Plenty of people who produce quality content on X that are not motivated by direct financial incentives (likely indirect financial incentives that come as a result of increase status).

Makes sense, @dwr.eth. Related to your goal of increasing quality content, I think tips can help to incentivize that.

I’ve never advertised tips as a feature of contributing to /diptychs, but any regular contributor will know that I tip them regularly. It feels like a nice thing to do in this context. I don’t know if there’s an easy way to see the replies to my replies in the channel, but the majority of them are very grateful for the gesture.
