except it's bullshit; believe it or not, but plenty of drug development takes place in europe without going through the very expensive FDA process first your high drug prices are primarily caused by your broken healthcare system with tons of bloated admin/middlemen, not america sacrificing itself for the greater good.

If US market doesn’t exist, Novo (Danish) would not be able to sell the drugs cheaply everywhere else.

It's fat injections and boner pills, bro. The whole point is that this portfolio of drugs only exists *because* Americans want/need them. It's not actually something many countries would place at the top of their healthcare priority list. It's a cash grab by outsiders, that's it.

that claim has no empirical basis? there's no relation between the sales price of the drug in Denmark and the sales price of the drug in the US. the argument being made is that the research to invent the drug in the first place wouldn't get done without the US market, which is a none-falsifiable counterfactual?
