One misconception I see about spam labeling: "I'm a real human. I'm not a bot." Claiming "I'm not a bot" doesn't change the quality of your content. If you're farming replies and not being thoughtful, that's spam. And saying "Oh, I was just hoping to make some money, I'll do better in the future" doesn't work. Because every spammer will say the same thing. It's not hard to not be spammy. Just cast a little less, be a little more thoughtful.

Eradicated greed can’t go away by “casting less” imho. If they all say the same thing (oh, I was just hoping to make some money..) , it’s not about quality, it’s a bunch of greedy mfers trying to be smarter. Guess what? They’ll never change, spam or not. “Fear and greed are potent motivators. When both of these forces push in the same direction, virtually no human being can resist.” A. Weil

Not agains that, but I still believe in the power of people. Someone in there might be labeled for bad translations or stuff like that. Had some top community contributors in the almight “show more” in the past. But perfection is for another story.

> Someone in there might be labeled for bad translations or stuff like that. Tough reality: a bad enough translation is still bad content. If you do it enough, that's spammy. Why should anyone be forced to pay attention to bad content? If you don't respect the attention of the reader, they will just use the app less.

Okay can’t say you’re wrong. I have a decent enough English to express myself /clearly/ out here, but I guess many users (mainly Asia imho) don’t have that. Guess only possible solution at this point would be: Study English (?)

Or cast in their own timeline, reply to people who speak the same language / follow them, channels that work for them. If the excuse is: well, replying to person X potentially gets me some money, sorry that's not what the spam algorithm is optimizing for.

Valuable piece of advice! This is already pretty international so no problemo for that🤌🏻 I told you a while ago, i don’t feel like I’ve changed my way of acting here, but every interaction now effectively have a price tag. And for greedy mfers it’s an invitation to the altar

In all of these Is there no way to make an auto translate on this app? So they get comfortable in typing their language and we just click “translate” to avoid stuff like this We have to think of solutions even in tricky situations like this. It should never be mistaken that rules on an app are made to favour a certain demographic We can’t just say they should reply only those who speak their language when the aim here it for us to make connections Or am i missing something?
