The number of apps is going to increase 100-1000x over the next few years. 1. Seems like an index of big cloud platforms and NVIDIA is a good way to bet on this 2. In the same way creators have moved from text and image to video and D2C, would imagine a lot more creator-built software in form of games, interactive stories, etc.

Tbh I've thought a bit about what changes when the focus goes from model training to inference. Not much changes for Nvidia here (I think) When it moves from general inference to inference on edge devices that may change

Unbundling cycle! I do honestly wonder about data, identity and compute infra for the resulting apps. Youโre right that cloud+chips will be critical as proxies for app creation. But I think advances in local-first infra for the long tail might be the most interesting space to watch for disruption.

Why do you think the number of apps is going to increase 100x-1000x? The population of humans on devices will only increase like 2x, tops? So 50x more apps per human? Maybe I don't understand your def of app?
