We have no near-term plans to decentralized fnames. FIDs, the underlying user account and social graph, are decentralized. You are always free to use an FID with an ENS if you don't like this policy. :)

How would I go about requesting to get my first name handle since the current user has been inactive for 1+ year? There is zero chance for me to get the ENS (squattted) it would be cool if I could at least ACTIVELY use the fname 🙏 (btw I even applied for this in the past via a Google form you posted).
