Users with priority mode turned on, like priority mode. Users without the power badge, don’t like priority mode and want more visibility to users with priority mode turned on. Making power badge more permissive, increases spam. Makes everyone unhappy (except the spammers) Solve for X.

Power badge has flaws, but haven't seen a concrete proposal for a deterministic alternative to the power badge. Most suggestions for improvement are: "sounds like a hard problem, but whatever system you put in place should give me the power badge." :)

Maybe if the algorithm for who gets the power badge were completely open we could give specific feedback on what to improve.

Engagement from users with the power badge. That data is all public. Show me a group of people who should have the badge that don't and the algorithm that would identify them (without adding to many spammy users)

Would you consider another thread where we can highlight builders and creators that the power badge algo is missing?

What I mean is exactly how much engagement from power users does someone need to have the badge? Is it a fixed number? Is it proportional to number of casts, follower count, etc? This is the sort of thing people can look at to know what they need to change if they want the badge.

If people without a power badge look like bots to people WITH a power badge, how do you get interaction from users that have a power badge? The chicken and egg of it is more of the issue.
