It’s crazy how alive and vibrant Chicago is compared to SF Both are doomer red meat and Chicago def has way more violent crime, but the city is actually alive and this crime isn’t palpable in good areas Whereas SF is literally just a shithole with zombies everywhere. “It’s just the tendy” is cope

There’s lots of options trading firms. Chicago has a vibrant tech scene but nothing like the coasts. I grew up there

This was my original point though —despite mismanagement it’s still alive and vibrant in the good parts. Ppl everywhere, high energy, etc etc. Rode the subway both way from downtown to o’hare with zero issues Coincidently hung out with someone from Citadel said most stayed Violent crime real but Chi > SF

The highways are setup to keep the bad parts away from the good. But yeah I spent part of my childhood in affordable housing there and it wasn’t a good time. The city of Chicago is terribly governed, but atleast there’s not homeless people shutting on the streets
