It’s crazy how alive and vibrant Chicago is compared to SF

Both are doomer red meat and Chicago def has way more violent crime, but the city is actually alive and this crime isn’t palpable in good areas 

Whereas SF is literally just a shithole with zombies everywhere. “It’s just the tendy” is cope

Is this the only, or even primary, object of life?

does Chicago have any industry creating new jobs?

Speaking of that region, I'm curious how Detroit is these days. I remember visiting ~6 years ago and it had the feeling of a city in the very early stages of reviving from a terrible slump. I hope things have gone well!
