1. Agree it’s hard for new users! But it’s always been hard for new users. We’re going to be adding “onboard directly to a channel” when joining Farcaster as the next big project for channels. 2. Channels as hashtags / topics did not work. We iterated for a year trying to make it work. 3. So we’re trying a new direction that is more like public group chats with a feed UX. 4. A reminder that casting in your home feed like Twitter is available to everyone.

1. Judgement “is this working?” — this is a lot of building consumer products. 2. Channels without moderation required aggressive filtering which is frustrating for newer users. Moderation worked for some, but required a huge investment of time. 3. Few people visited channel pages (proxy for both community and quality).

3. Is interesting. It’s true I didn’t scroll Much through channels but enjoyed posting in them and seeing the channel posts pop up on my timeline. Good to know management take
