If the European Union works with Canada in order to do economic harm to the USA, large scale Tariffs, far larger than currently planned, will be placed on them both in order to protect the best friend that each of those two countries has ever had!

Obviously plenty of people are upset.

That said, it’s not a big economic issue for most things in the US. 

Whereas it’s 25% of Canadian GDP.

So naturally a much bigger issue in Canada and Mexico.

i understand the game theory. 

on-ground across canada and europe  i fear the rationality is leaving the room and we're more looking at men with egos staring eyeball to eyeball and readying for war vs whatever some economic pundit in dark room thought this tariff move will play out to be. and it will sting US beyond the numbers. Honestly most Canadians don't care about the tariffs, not a lot of essentials are impacted and we can survive with fewer luxury goods. Grocery stores are full of US goods discounted to $2 that no one is willing to buy, it's not about the money. We care about the annexing threats and general implied warmongering.
