Yes but then she’ll be off the campaign trail more. It’s a trade off. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen (either by necessity or choice)

is he giving a presser on this? would be a great time for him to announce on live television that he’s stepping down now and letting Kamala take over. if so that would be the wildest thing in that our first female president came about this way. don’t see it happening, but this month has been WILD.

think that's likely too large of an unknown for it to be risked could open up an adversary to attack American assets abroad to influence the election- with a split government a response could be challenging and dampen any "wartime incumbent" effect having Biden continue the term potentially acts as a shield for negative outcomes while providing the optionality of promoting Kamala for positive ones

You would think so but it would be a big disturbance. Now she can focus on running a campaign and not deal with presidential duties. It’s a tough call though, I’m sure Biden’s pride plays into it.

No, because it projects further weakness (Biden stepping down means admitting he was completely unable to do the job, as opposed to withdrawing from his candidacy, which admits only to an acceptance of low chance of winning / succumbing to pressure) Additionally, incumbency has been a detriment in elections worldwide (see: European elections) Kamala probably benefits from not being seen as responsible as Biden. I.e. a clean slate.

I'm not quite familiar with Election in the US, but I can say that every country I know(Japan and Philippines) is the media not showing off all the candidates is the biggest problem. They just show off the major candidates, and with that, I don't think the country can't gain major changes.

I’m not into American politics much but there is no real potential candidate apart from Kamala? And second is there any chance to grow up of some 3rd option beside Democrats and Republicans to break the duopoly?

I don't know, it seems like it, but at the same time getting nominated by the guy dropping out can have a bad effect its better than no support i guess, but still will prob be a hard sell against trump. Would she be first woman president in america if she won btw?
