fwiw as someone who went through this i don’t see the problem here home owners aren’t being stopped from listing at whatever price they want this is just stopping unsolicited offers to be clear i don’t really get WHY you’d do this, but i also don’t think it’s a negative

Not sure why this is seen as "good". This is doubling down on breaking free markets and allowing the true price to emerge. This is the kind of stuff that drives libertarians insane. They broke the insurance market with a price cap that forced insurecos to exit the market. Now they are going to break the housing market with a price floor. You can predict what's going to happen a mile away.
