A mobile client focused on photographers would do well.

I‘m just teasing how can u motivate client development when this remains an option?

We need more quality content. We need to 100x the daily active users. Then people will be willing to build despite potential for competition.

IMO there is a conflict between growth and neutrality. I agree that ur target should be 100x DAUs, but an alternative client could help achieve this goal. E.g. Ethereum grew because of third party tooling, at least in a certain understanding. Coinbase et al. made entry and exit seamless, Consensys built apps. Meanwhile EF-internal apps were uninspired (Mist browser, Whisper). Crazy idea, but maybe u could publish a public commitment to non-competition, for example, u say: „for the next 6 months we‘ll not compete with features on a photography-focused client even if it amasses more DAU than WC.“ Ofc u‘d have to be very careful as it constraints your growth potential, but I feel like if you carefully selected a few and set up a social contract this could change the dynamic. Although, I‘m not sure if it would e.g. allow someone to raise on

I understand this pov. How isn’t Supercast fulfilling the second client requirement?

My understanding is that Supercast is defensible as of now because they build multi user support so they‘ve been lucky or smart that MM hasn‘t wanted to implement this into WC, or Am I missing something? How could they defend their business if you decided to implement this differentiation?
