Yes crypto Twitter has been going on about this. 

I think what happened is some projects rewarded some people for running hubs with an airdrop and now they think it’s going to happen for everything

Ideal is closer to 100 imo.

Function of how much data is being generated and how many Hubs are gossiping messages. Significantly more data than blockchains.

It's surprising to me that Farcaster suffers when more Hubs come online. Is this a technical limitation to be overcome or an inalienable aspect of the network's design? Is there an ideal number of Hubs?
