If you want to see a world-class PWA, try X / Twitter in your mobile browser. The engineering work that went into it pre-dated Elon era. And then after using it for a bit, re-download the X / Twitter native app and feel the difference. Not even close.

Apple has zero incentive to improve them. It's a fig leaf to say there is an alternative. The only added notifications this year (and that's why people are talking about them).
