And then after using it for a bit, re-download the X / Twitter native app and feel the difference. Not even close.

Apple has zero incentive to improve them. It's a fig leaf to say there is an alternative. The only added notifications this year (and that's why people are talking about them).

Token-gating is entirely possible within app store rules. You just have to get creative.

If you're right PWAs aren't viable, it makes me a little bearish about crypto over the next couple years unless sideloading becomes easy/common. Token-gating is one of the only interesting use cases for crypto beyond speculation.

Definitely feels less cluttered, what I will say about X is that I believe it has the potential to reinvent itself. I feel most user pre Elon dislike where the platform has gone but don’t realize how many new users the platform is bringing by being more open & new features like longform content.
