yes. not even close. Andor is the darkest and best thing I've seen from Disney in a very long time. Hope new season hits in the same way.

Star Wars: Andor really gets me thinking about rebellion and revolution. This show explores characters that sit in a moral grey area as they partake in so-called "necessary violence." Revolutions often bring together diverse groups of people and unite them around a common cause. In Andor we see members of the aristocracy and the establishment working alongside convicts and petty crooks in order to bring about systematic change.

One can draw parallels between the events of the first season of Andor and the Haitian Revolution. Both of these are stories of a slave-based revolution wherein there is actually a hierarchy within the slave population. In both situations there are captain/managerial slaves who believe, to some extent, in the establishment that oppresses them. Overtime these types can be worn down in their efforts to reform the system and are more readily convinced that revolution is necessary.

I'm really excited to watch it. I hard it has a big energy angle this season. Also, and I know this is just personal taste, but I just find the zombie trope so boring.

Although Last of Us was written to be played, not just watched.
