Any project that requires a Gantt chart to keep organized is a project I don’t really want to be part of. Related: many people try to force Gantt on projects that don’t need it. It’s not a good thing.

Truth. One does not simply disrupt the built environment. I spent 5 years of my career trying to fix *just property management*. Better software could certainly help, but it is almost entirely a people & processes thing. Not to mention supply of labour and resources. And regulation and permitting. Etc.

Used to be an executive at one of the bigger construction tech companies. As crazy as it sounds, there’s an insane amount of software, integrations, AI (both vision & predictive) already out there. The issue is that on any given job site, there’s an insane number of stakeholders, and especially for larger job sites like a stadium (I don’t think I’ve seen one recently which had only one GC), there isn’t a single person to go to for deployment, enforcement, and accountability of using it all. Despite all the benefits of efficiency and cost savings, it’s impossible to get everyone coordinated.
