I’m torn. I’m going to watch it, but w/o Russel Crowe my expectations are low.

i'd bet this is the kind of film that you consider bad when you expect it to be good and vice versa.

watched gladiator 2, really well made. as someone who’s watched the first movie 20+ times, i liked it. what did i miss? a unique soundtrack. the first movie had that iconic soundtrack that stuck with you, this one didn’t have anything like it

new movie need fresh history, no engaged with maximus history, IMO
