Yes. Corporate OSS in general is significant. Software should be free, its distributions/managed products should be paid. Best examples: cal.com, Twenty CRM.

IMO no. Open sourcing their code would be helpful, but open sourcing the weights of a ~5th rate model is overrated.

For the people who have the resources, they can now use RLHF to fine tune to build a very different version of ChatGPT, grok, Claude, etc… the weights are actually a big deal. Many more startups can actually build a standalone foundational model that might be specific to an industry

Grok doesn’t even do things like analyze your following/followers etc… best thing it does is roast you based on your content 😭 Could be something though? 🤷‍♂️
