“What are you doing to help small accounts on Farcaster?” We have a lot more work to do, but here’s what we’ve done in the last few months to improve: 1. Moved initial feeds away from a follow-based model to algorithmic and interest-based model 2. A daily set of boosted accounts with <10K followers 3. USDC rewards normalized by followers 4. A bunch of experiments and tweaks to improve the home feed to show interesting casts from people you don’t follow yet More to come!

I'm one of those small accounts that got boosted, and have gotten the 5USDC every day so far. I continue to accumulate followers daily because my casts continue to get seen, in part because of the algorithm tweaks, but also because I know how to work with an algorithm. There is not such thing as a perfect algorithm that's going to make everybody happy. But there is a set of skills creators can build that will give them an edge in getting their content shown. There are some new accounts getting caught up in the "more replies" and I do think that's a problem that needs to be tackled, so I'm very glad to see y'all continuing to work on the problem.

I'd already been growing before the boosts - there *is* a strategy behind the chaos 🤣 But that Boost day DEFINITELY helped, and there's also been a steady increases in followers shortly after that 5USDC list comes out, so people *are* noticing. And it's not just people following a trend, I continue to get new engagement as well.
