I used to like gm but I now only see it as the lowest form of engagement in public spaces, especially Twitter and Discord servers. All variants of “gm if you gm”, gmgmgm, or gm trains all make me die a little inside. I just imagine a wasteland of broken robots that are sentenced eternity to gm each other.

I’m going to make a positive argument for ‘ser’ and maybe even ‘fren’ I see ser as a need in the crypto culture to simultaneously have — ways to signal respect or deference — ways to signal opposition to traditional forms of hierarchy In this sense they serve an actual purpose ‘gm’ feels cringe
