How are people feeling about the upcoming channel changes?

Yup. This ☝️That was my very first thought too. As a channel owner, I'll just invite people I can think of, at the expense of all the other potential great candidates. 

What about adding a guest (i.e. non-member) post that needs to be validated by a moderator before showing up in the channel?

That would encourage quality submissions and help identify quality candidates.

Worried that it might prevent quality user to get reach and will reinforce those who do have reach already to have even more. I proposed an idea here to counter that:

It’s an interesting idea. Too much additional scope for v1.

Can be simulated by a cast action: Suggest this post for a channel you follow. The action may filter using rules or not, and may send a DC or email, or provide a dashboard where members can see suggestions and recast them to the channel, or invite the user to the channel.
