Slick UX but relying too much on them makes me nervous about apple being too much of a point of failure

Note that your phone + phone PIN is root of trust for your whole Apple ecosystem (even if you use hardware security keys for iCloud). So if someone shouldersurfs your PIN and take your phone they get all your passkeys. Worth noting if using passkeys to access smart contracts etc.
