What about incentives roulette? Perverse only 1/6th of the time.

TIL I learned about erradicating cobras in India -- which made me think of the python bounties in FL. And now I probably won't be able to sleep tonight due to snake nightmares. Thanks Dan.

Would it still helpful to maintain a public registry of spamming account, maybe without the incentive?

Yes (memerel), at the same time HOP successfully incentivized their community to combat airdrop farmers so it can be done. The fact that it's hard to implement doesn't mean it's impossible. But IMO it's not worth the effort because the current methods work pretty well

I’m in favor of a cast action an OP can use on replies to penalize them. Not sure what penalize exactly looks like, and yeah, maybe it can be abused, but I kind of like it 😈

More or less like a slippery slope if we tow that line. But how sustainable would putting users in the spam list be where it still doesn’t yield results?

so basically this is saying people would breed spam accounts and then report those accounts, get incentivised and then repeat ♻️ i think you’re taking the correct decision for spam labelling. tough, but impactful long term.

This is literally the definition of the effects of social tokens like $DEGEN, $farther and $Moxie... Devs wanted to foster engagement * - but, oh, wait... not THAT kind of engagement! So shadowbans, jails, V2s, shifting eligibility criteria, and two-class systems are imposed to try to close the barn door. Note: each of these tokens represents an improvement over NO-token systems like 'X', IMO... yet they all still beg the question ⤵️ * But who profited from the original "pumps" of all these "perverse incentive tokens" ?? 🤔 🫢🫣🤫
