This is literally the definition of the effects of social tokens like $DEGEN, $farther and $Moxie... 

Devs wanted to foster engagement * - but, oh, wait... not THAT kind of engagement!

So shadowbans, jails, V2s, shifting eligibility criteria, and two-class systems are imposed to try to close the barn door.

Note: each of these tokens represents an improvement over NO-token systems like 'X', IMO... yet they all still beg the question ⤵️

* But who profited from the original "pumps" of all these "perverse incentive tokens" ?? 🤔
