Semi-regular Warpcast annoyances thread If you were BDFOWF, what would you have us work on? BDFOWF = benevolent dictator for one warpcast feature The more specific the ask, the better!

What does an ideal dev rel person do that we aren't already doing?

study lee robinson and what he has done on vercel. he’s now vp of product, but started doing simple 0 to 1 tutorials that amateur programmers could follow without feeling stupid. im self taught and believe me, those helped me tons (and made me eager to deploy on vercel) farcaster is the perfect playground for learning how to code

What problem does that solve for us right now? I can see where it might be valuable in the future.

one of the most existential ones: trust and attention from established developers on the network i could tag 8 builders that i respect and that are tired of the way devrel is done today (that would be my projected bias after interacting with them in multiple group chats, and I may be wrong)

i was not suggesting i problem. i was shining a light into an ocean of possibilities. when @jessepollak speaks about bringing the next billion people onchain, it is the next million developers who will build those experiences, probably just playing around with technology. if you open up a window for people that have zero knowledge of programming and you treat them in a way that makes them feel playful (creative) instead of daunting, fun things can happen. if that community supports each other and is healthy, they will invite their friends. and they will start feeling creative also. i wrote this cast a few days ago: https://warpcast.com/jpfraneto.eth/0xce687da5 right now it is hard to build on farcaster. it feels hard. it feels as if there are too many rules that you need to be aware of. and with devrel i mean a group of people that are devoted for that process to be a smooth as it can be for newcomers that want to explore their creativity, using farcaster as the playground for that.
