Dara (and TK) doesn't get enough credit for Uber being a $150B market cap company today. Impossible to know, but I wonder if most of the early Uber employees sold most of their stock in the first few years (esp. since founder no longer involved). https://twitter.com/emilmichael/status/1782914669587435603

I feel like insiders are even more disillusioned after seeing how the sausage is made so they cash out any time the number seems like enough. Can’t say I would have predicted their current success.

I was at Uber 5yr and sold all my stock for crypto a few days after the lockup expired (Dec 2019). Best financial decision of my life. Every ex-Uber employee I know agrees that the product is worse today than 2016 (even ones who still work there). DK is making money, but it’s costing him more in the long run.

Dara is an excellent operator — Uber became a phenomenal financial planning machine. and a lot of credit to Barry Diller in letting Dara leave. could have easily kept him home.
