Why does crypto not have more consumer apps? Because it currently does not solve many problems for consumers. Crypto has strong consumer product-market fit with speculative use cases. This is because it’s a) potential to make money quickly b) entertainment. The way to grow the number of consumers in crypto is increase the amount of entertainment in crypto apps. Consumers have unlimited demand for novel entertainment.

I still think the basic crypto as a payment method is undervalued. Working with watches you hear load of stories of people getting paid for a watch and then the bank taking back the money because they say it wasn’t them who made the payment. Resulting in seller losing watch and the money. Give me crypto over bank payment any day

While I also prefer, most people don’t care though. Not a problem for them.

This is true. I suppose most people optimise for convenience so this use case makes 0 sense for most. I do see a world eventually where the back end of everything is web 3 and end user does know and generally doesn’t care about what goes on behind the scenes.

I can see this. Crypto first started as a way to solve big problems based on the 08 financial crisis but then it got fixated on niche problems when the bigger problems were negated by the government making crypto an afterthought to speculate on. now we’re just fighting amongst ourselves like children.
