Its kind of an alternate take on the whole superhero brand. Basically it answers the question: "What if those born with superpowers were flawed, evil (in some cases psychopathic) individuals?"

it was at the start a pretty unique on a genre that people were otherwise kind of getting sick of. Was cool to see super heroes graphically killing each other and people vs what we are used to, plus itโ€™s funny etc lmao

2019 was a huge year for superheroes. The Avengers had just wrapped up with End Game. I think people liked it because it depicted people and superheroes in their own accurate self-interested light. Tl;dr - By 2019, people were sick of everyone acting like they were always good. The Boys finally put it on screen.

basically a "real" depiction of what super heroes in modern society would be like. exploitation, evil mega corporations, blurring the lines of heroes and villains, etc. also, it's hilarious and vulgar. quality show def worth the watch.

The super heroes to evil and terrible things. They are part of a mega-corp that monetizes their image and protects them. It's one of the best shows on Amazon.

It's contrarian and from the perspective of the bad guys. Shows the flaws of the "heroes" and lets people relate to the other side. It's also a really fun and adult version of a superhero universe.
