HIGHER NEWS A traditional news website (like CNN) which crowdsources positive stories from around the world. Perhaps with a voting mechanism to help improve quality and curation over time. Perhaps with a rewards incentive system for contributors. Likely without either of those to begin with. Would you subscribe?

Yes with a caveat - it can't be merely "positive" stories. I think there's already stuff like that out there. It should be stories that embody/display the higher spirit. So, much tighter criteria.
