It is worrisome. Any social media needs the next gen to like it if it wants sustainability. I think it mainly has something to do with money being an issue for people <25 years of age.

Younger people have lesser experience and less value to add to a social media platform which is as value driven as this. The tipping mechanism was great for bringing people who don't necessarily have a lot of skills in this realm and then they could start monetising whatever their skills were.

However, with the end (or pause, atleast) of the tipping meta, people aren't as easy to convince to switch to a platform which is primarily about crypto. We need much much more /non-crypto-stuff to bring in a major audience that we're not catering to rn.
