Any tips on how I can resurrect and re-season a cast iron pan?

Tried avocado oil in the oven but didn’t seem to do anything

mom said - use 2 spoons Sodium carbonate and 2 spoons of lemon salt
and small cup of vinegar and half a cup of liquid soap in hot water and let this pan in it for a while and then clean it
