Farcaster & the Spirit of Onchain (A story) At Farcon Beer Pong we totally ran out of beer like halfway through. (@aivan and I had got as many cases as we could carry — @ted @jeff-xyz @stevie-xyz helped us bring everything up the flights of stairs. @df was our Bouncer during the run.) Before we ever had to stop playing, three separate groups of people had gone to the only grocery store nearby and literally bought their entire remaining inventory of PBR. I heard @six spent hundreds of dollars. @itsbasil led another group I think. @esdotge @samuellhuber.eth also got some? The crazy thing is that all these groups went and did this without knowing the others were, and ran into each other at the store. No one has even told me how much I owe them yet. I still need to learn who paid what. Even though this was IRL, it really captures for me the spirit of FC, Base, and how we should build onchain: 1. You don’t need permission to contribute. 2. It doesn’t matter who gets credit. 3. Be generous.
